christmas cards

One of my all time favorite things regarding the Holidays,
is the taking of Christmas Card Pictures
and the giving and receiving of Christmas Cards!

This weekend we are making out way outside
to do our annual family photo!

To help distribute our Holiday Cards this year,
we are turning to Shutterfly!

Shutterfly if offering 50 free Christmas Cards to Bloggers!

I've always been a huge fan of Shufferfly!
They have great products, great prices
and fast delivery (which is important around Christmas time)!

If you are still looking for last minute Christmas ideas
for family or friends, (or yourself!) :)

Shutterfly is the place to get a thoughtful gift!
One of my favorite gifts to give and/or receive
There is nothing better than adding pictures of family
and friends to calendars to always be reminded of
the ones that are closest to your heart
and precious moments.

for the coffee/hot chocolate drinker
in us all! :)

Or maybe you just want a creative way to
say "Happy Holidays!"

I would love free Christmas Cards to be able to send them
to family and friends!

here are a few of my current favorites:

which one is your favorite?

-keep your eyes on your mail box to see which is the lucky winner!-

destiny

I am a firm believer in destiny.

As most of you know, I'd had a "thing" for hd
since I was ten-years-old.

Our family's have always attended the same church,
we grew up in the same town,
attended the same high school,
(missing each other by one year)
and both ended up going to college
twenty minutes from one another.

Our grandparents
(my dad's parents&his mom's parents)
also spent more than a majority
of their lives living in Athens.
(We've always known this, but never really discussed details.)

This weekend, while attending big mama's
funeral, we learned how our extended family
has played a part in our destiny.

Our grandparents not only lived minutes
down the road from one another, but also
attended the same church, and are also
buried at the same cemetery.

I'm proud to say, God had this planned out long
before the crush started when I was ten! :)

here's to forever with my bestfriend.

big mama

last week we lost a very sweet woman.
hd's grandmother "big mama" passed away.
big mama has been fighting alzheimer's for about five or so years.
very sad to see her go, but she truly is in a better place now.

you will be missed big mama

perry

Last month at work, I listened to my favorite song on repeat!

"If I Die Young" by The Band Perry

Lucky for me, 94.9 the bull gave away free tickets to listeners
for a concert at Wild Bills...presenting no other than,
The Band Perry!

Me , hd, Bailey and Jay all went to Gwinnett
to jam out to our favorite song! :)
(and we also saw Bailey's best friends, Whitney and Danny!)
We also got the chance to meet the band,
get their autograph, and take a picture with them!

Overall, I'd say it was a successful night!

Here's to great music and awesome friends!

grand prize

So along with Spooktacular 2010 comes the Grand Prize!
In order to win the Grand Prize you must find and identify
the twenty words that they place throughout the site!

On the final night (Sunday 10.31.10, around 8:30pm)
the 20th word was posted!

Once hd found the word he filled out the entry
form with all 20 words, entered his contact information,
and answered the final 'secret' question.

...and then the waiting game began....
the winner wouldn't be posted until late Monday evening

In order to win the Grand Prize you had
to be the first to submit all of the words
and answer the final question correctly.

Yep! Hd was the winner!! :)

And here is the prize!
$2,000 Iron Man Mark III Half Scale Maquette

spooktacular 2010

So you've seen the past posts regarding
Sideshow Collectibles
and you could say we are slightly obsessed!

The week leading up to Halloween they host
an event known as Spooktacular!!

In honor of Halloween and Spooktacular 2010,
hd took off a couple of days of work to join in on the fun!

Over the course of seven days, the event gives away
over $35,000 worth of prizes!

During the event they post giveaways and contests every
hour or so, as well as 20 secret words
to look for throughout the seven days.

Hd entered us both throughout the week
and I won two contests! :)
(he won two also, although all he brought home was a sticker
and a catalog, which also made it into the hands of my boss
who loooved it!)

Here are the items I won!

lady sham ($154.99)

kiss - the starchild ($179.99)

alien update

A couple of post back, I mentioned the
Alien banner that I won from Sideshow Collectibles!

Well it did make it into my boss's hands
and this is the outcome!!
