Today I had the honor of hanging out with
Ms. Merritt and her first grade class!
It was an interesting day, to say the least.
I was informed by one student that his grandmother's
pastor made them a 'boot-leg' copy of Precious.
I, in returned, asked him if he knew what the term
'boot-leg' meant, and he gave me the definition in full.
I was in shock!
Other than that, we just spent some time finding
contractions and learning to add two digit numbers!
All in all, it was a fun day!
